Contact homecostbook
Email support@homecostbook.com. It is read by one person and it is monitored. A contact page nobody answers is worse than none, so if you write and get no reply, assume something went wrong and try again.
What is most useful to send
A figure you think is wrong. This is the most valuable message you can send. Tell us which page, which number, and what you believe the right figure is. If you have a source, include it. Corrections get made and dated.
A quote you actually received. Real quotes, with the metro area and the scope of work, are the raw material for better cost data than any published survey. Nothing identifying you is ever published.
A source we have missed. Particularly published price lists, trade cost indices, or regional labour data. Our standard is that a source has to be named, dated, and checkable by a reader.
What we cannot help with
We cannot recommend a specific contractor, quote for your job, or act as an intermediary with a company you are in dispute with. We are a reference site, not a broker and not a trade body.
We also cannot give a binding price. Everything here is an estimate built from published data. Your actual cost depends on your home’s access, the condition of the fascia behind the gutter, your local rates, and the individual contractor. Always get at least three written quotes before committing to work.
Response times
Expect a few days. This is run by one person, and reading a correction properly takes longer than sending a holding reply.
